You can earn status in the IHG One Rewards program by actively participating and meeting certain requirements outlined in the table below. Having specific co-branded credit cards grants you specific status levels, but it's important to note that automatically receiving status through credit cards does not count as actual stayed nights (for example, being automatically given Platinum status does not mean you also receive 40 qualified night credits).
The benefits that come with each status level are shown in the table below.

However, they frequently offer promotions where you can get an 80% bonus on purchased points, decreasing the cost to 0.56 CPP USD. Keep in mind that during a promotion, the maximum number of points you can purchase is 250,000 base points minus any base points you have already bought within the same calendar year.

IHG award nights don't have a fixed price, so there is no specific chart to show how many points you need. Also, not all types of rooms are available for booking with points.
4th night free
One benefit for people with co-branded credit cards is that they can get the 4th night free on reward stays. To qualify for this, you need to meet the following conditions:
Your booking should be made using points only, not Points & Cash.
You need to book a reservation for at least 4 consecutive nights.
The reservation should be for a standard room.
Please note that the 4 consecutive nights don't include any nights booked using free night certificates.
Points & Cash
You also have the option to use a combination of points and money to pay for your stay. You can do this in increments of 5,000 points.
