Hilton Honors (HH) is the loyalty program offered by Hilton Worldwide. You can collect points in various ways such as staying at Hilton hotels, using Hilton-affiliated credit cards, taking Lyft rides, dining at participating restaurants, converting points from banking partners, and directly purchasing points. These points can be used to book hotel stays, enjoy experiences, take Lyft rides, get merchandise, rent cars, and even transfer to airline partners. Additionally, you have the opportunity to earn free night certificates as well.

  • You can earn HH points by converting Amex MR points at the following ratios:

    MR (Can) 1:1

    You also have the option to convert miles from Amtrak and Virgin Atlantic's loyalty programs into HH points.

  • HH points can be shared among multiple users. You can transfer points in increments of 1,000 points. Each user can send a maximum of 500,000 points and receive up to 2,000,000 points. These transfers are allowed in up to 6 transactions per calendar year.

  • You have the option to buy HH points, and you can purchase up to 80,000 base points each year. These points are typically sold at a rate of 1 CPP USD. Sometimes, they have special offers where you can receive 100% bonus points, which means you get double the points for the same price. This promotion reduces the cost to 0.5 CPP USD. However, it's important to note that the maximum limit for base points remains at 80,000 per year. So, even with the bonus points, the total number of points you can buy in a year is capped at 160,000.

  • HH award nights are divided into two categories: Standard Room Rewards and Premium Room Rewards. Each day, a limited number of Standard Room Rewards are available at each hotel, and they are specific to certain room types. On the other hand, Premium Room Rewards allow you to book almost any room, but their pricing is dynamic and not based on a fixed redemption chart. Generally, redeeming points for Premium Room Rewards may not provide the best value. HH offers a Points Explorer tool to give you an estimate of the rates for Standard Room Rewards.

    5th night free

    One benefit for Silver and higher status members is the 5th night free offer. To qualify for this, you need to meet the following conditions:

    • Your booking should be made with points only, not Points & Money

    • You need to book a reservation for at least 5 consecutive nights in a Standard Rewards Room

    Please note that the 5 consecutive nights don't include any nights booked using free night certificates.

    Points & Money

    HH also offers the Points & Money option, where you can choose to pay for your stay using a combination of points and money. You can use increments of 1,000 points, starting from 5,000 points.

  • HH points can be converted to various airline transfer partners at the following ratios:

  • Your HH points will expire if there are 24 consecutive months where you haven't used or earned any points.

  • Certain co-branded cards provide free night certificates that can be used to book a stay at most Hilton hotels, excluding a few specific properties. These certificates can only be used for Standard Room Rewards, and there is no limit to the number of points required for the booking.
