Checking Aeroplan EDQ

You can earn Aeroplan (AP) Elite Status without flying by using Everyday Status Qualification (EDQ). AP points count towards EDQ, except for points from WB and conversions, and bonus points earned from Elite Status through flying and eStore purchases. If you earn 100,000 EDQ within a year, you'll become an AP 25K member until December of the following year.

If you don't currently have any AP Elite Status, your AP account page will show your progress towards reaching 100,000 EDQ. However, if you already have any level of AP Elite Status, this progress won't be visible. To keep track of your progress, you'll need to manually calculate your EDQ for the current year. Alternatively, you can access AP's internal tracking by using your web browser's Web Inspector tool. Below are the steps for various browsers.

  • Log in to your AP account and go to the My Aeroplan landing page. Click the three dot icon to pull up main menu and select More Tools, then Developer Tools.

    Select the Network tab, then you can choose to filter by XHR/Fetch. Then refresh the browser. Look for the currency file. Then under the Preview tab, open the pointDetails section and look for a line with pointType EDQ, and it will display your EDQ progress for the current year.

  • Log in to your AP account and go to the My Aeroplan landing page. Click the three line icon to pull up main menu and select More tools.

    Then Web Developer Tools.

    Select the Network tab, then you can choose to filter by XHR. Then refresh the browser. Look for the currency file (there may be more than one). Then under the Response tab, open the pointDetails section and look for a line with pointType EDQ, and it will display your EDQ progress for the current year.

  • Log in to your AP account and go to the My Aeroplan landing page. Go to Settings, then open the Advanced tab. Make sure Show Develop menu in menu bar is selected.

    Select the Develop menu and open Show Web Inspector.

    Select the Network tab, then you can choose to filter by XHR/Fetch. Then refresh the browser. Look for the currency file. Then under the Preview tab, look for a section with pointType EDQ, and it will display your EDQ progress for the current year.
