RBC Avion Rewards
Avion Rewards is the loyalty program offered by the Royal Bank of Canada. You can earn points by using credit cards linked to Avion Rewards. These points can be used to get rewards like travel, merchandise, gift cards, and even contribute towards certain RBC banking products such as mortgages, lines of credit, and investment accounts.

RBC provides different cards that allow you to earn Avion Rewards. They officially offer welcome bonuses "once in a lifetime," but in reality, RBC's IT system doesn't usually limit the receipt of WB. The main restriction is getting approved for new cards, which is typically limited to 1/90. However, there might be a possibility to be approved for additional cards in-branch, even if it's within 1/90.

You can only transfer Avion points between different users if you share a joint banking or credit card account with them. However, if you have multiple Avion cards, you can transfer points from one card to another within the same user's account. This makes it easier for you to redeem your points. You can do this by accessing the Avion Rewards portal online.

Avion points can be redeemed towards select RBC banking products in increments of 3,000 points against $25.
Avion points can also be redeemed in-house at either a fixed value of 1 CPP using the Avion Rewards portal or using the Air Travel Redemption Schedule, when redeeming using an Avion-tier card. Points can be redeemed at a fixed rate based on destination up to a maximum base ticket price. Additionally, points can be redeemed at a fixed value of 2 CPP when redeeming for premium cabins using a VIP or VI business card.
You can use Avion points to redeem select RBC banking products by exchanging them in increments of 3,000 points for $25.
Alternatively, if you have an Avion-tier card, you have two options for redeeming points. First, you can redeem them in-house at a fixed value of 1 CPP. Second, you can use the Air Travel Redemption Schedule, which allows you to redeem points based on a fixed rate depending on the destination, up to a maximum base ticket price. If you have a VIP or VI business card, you can also redeem points at a fixed value of 2 CPP when booking premium cabins.

If you have an Avion-tier card, you can convert Avion points to different partners at the following ratios. However, it's important that the account names match between your Avion account and the 3rd-party loyalty account:

* Note: You can transfer points to WestJet Rewards even with non-Avion-tier cards.

Avion points will not expire if you have an Avion point-earning card. However, if you close your account either voluntarily or involuntarily, your points will be forfeited after 12 months.
